Secretary

     

   

General Description

The Secretary shall record accurately the proceedings of all meetings of the congregation and the Church Council.  He shall be responsible for the legal records of the congregation.  He shall have the authority to countersign all deeds in the orderly conduct of the congregation's affairs according to established good order.  He shall also perform such other duties as may be assigned to him by the congregation.

      

    

 

 

Qualifications for Serving

·         Caring and committed to serving and advancing the Lord’s work.

·         Desire to encourage and help others to utilize their gifts, passions, and interests in carrying out the ministry at Our Savior’s.

·         A willingness to be flexible and adaptable to opportunities for ministry that is consistent with doctrine and mission.

·         Faithful in worship, prayer, bible study, and congregational life.

·         Committed to working as a team. 

·         Able to attend the majority of your board meetings and other meetings as needed.

 

 

    

   

Membership

·         Elected by the voters

·         Those who have been newly elected to their respective offices and board shall be installed into office on the first Sunday of the new year, unless such Sunday falls on January 1, then on the Sunday following.  After the October meeting, and until they take office, the newly-elected shall attend all meetings of their respective boards and committees, in order to acquaint themselves with their future work.

Authority

Once the budget and goals for the year are approved, the Secretary has decision-making authority within the parameters of the overall priorities, their budget, and their adopted or assigned goals.
